Single door Wedding Armoire Ca.1900
These are from the Normandy region of France.
Traditionally wedding Armoires or Brides Cabinets were hand carved by a daughter’s father, filled with “a trousseau” linens and clothes given to the Bride once married.
Adorned with floral, leaf and vine carvings, standing on out swept feet at the front and a single drawer at the base, this piece is old-world craftsmanship at its finest.
Beautiful Brass hardware completes this tall Blackened Oak beauty.
