This is a remarkable large Coffer from the early 1700’s.

The solid weight of this piece reflects its age.

Wonderfully constructed with Simple detailing on the big Oak panels and legs. Beautiful aged patina.

Traditionally Coffers were made strong to hold valuables such as Gold, Silver or Money.

They are great for storage, while certainly creating a topic of conversation in any space.
